Manchester-based producer Matt Cutler a.k.a Lone, is set to release Reality Testing, his first album since 2012’s Galaxy Garden, on June 16th. The album sees the producer return to R&S — the label that released both Galaxy Garden and last year’s Airglow Fires EP.  Cutler recently spoke about the album, explaining that he sees Reality Testing as “a diary, a real document of the last year of making it.” He adds: “In a lot of the tracks there’s sounds I’ve sampled and recorded of me just being in the studio, and leaving the microphone running—you’re almost in there with me. I wanted it to be a representation of the different moods and emotions that went into making it—just as real and honest as possible.” The record features singles “Airglow Fires”, “Begin To Begin”, “2 is 8,” and “Aurora Northern Quarter” as well as eight previously unheard cuts.
