Brooklyn based producer/singer/ Janae Jones updated her SoundCloud page today with two new songs after 11 (long) months of complete silence. We last heard Jones on the brilliant Shady Dunes and now she’s back with two otherworldly experimental R&B offerings. Both tracks excite with their experimental electronic structures, synth pounding vibes and abstract production, while Jones’ ice melting vocals intrigue to create a deeply addictive unique atmosphere.

According to Jones this is only the beginning of a larger project, perhaps her debut LP might not be too far away. We can only hope!

Here’s what Jones had to say about her new “Start” EP:

“This project is a personal transformation recalling on both the past and the present. This transformation isn’t about reaching a means to an end; it’s about taking negatives and turning them into positives.

If this sounds like it is a snippet, it is intentional.

This is only the beginning.”

Lets  just hope we don’t have to wait another 11 months for the next instalment!
