We came across a Fader article today and were drawn to the header that boldly read, Who Is Alex G? Meet the Internet’s Secret Best Songwriter, suffice to say upon reading the story of this 21 year old musician we couldn’t wait to get to the music. Now here’s the thing,  despite his tender age this hugely talented and promising youngster has already recorded and self released 5 albums, 2 EP’s and a handful of singles. Luckily for us we love listening to music and Alex likes to keep things short and sweet with the run time of his LP’s barely hitting 30 minutes. But with music as good as this we’d be happy if they were longer, it really doesn’t matter as it’s easy to get lost in his sound, whether that be a touch of whispery folk-pop, classic indie or the occasional psychedelic trip which sees him walking down the path with Tame Impala in tow. The track below entitled ‘Hollow’ is taken from his upcoming first full release DSU, which is out on Orchid Tapes on June 17th.
