Introducing Ethiopian beatsmith Mikael Seifu, and his spectacularly constructed debut single “Yarada Lij”. Little is known about the Addis Ababa-born artist, but we do know he studied music production at New Jersey’s Ramapo College, and that his influences include ER, Burial, Scott Storch and traditional Ethiopian folk. Taken from his debut EP of the same name, “Yarada Lij” weaves it’s magic with an ambient production armed with dreamy electronics, saxophone goodness and a rich melodious flute finish. The 4 track EP is out on July 1st via newly formed Washington DC-based label 1432 R.
