Kelis has made her upcoming album FOOD available to stream in full via NPR’s First Listen. It’s the singer’s first album in four years and for those of us left disappointed with Flesh Tones , we can report that this new record is a welcome return to form. The singer’s sixth studio LP was produced entirely by TV On The Radio’s Dave Stiek, who has given her sound a more vintage feel, with the help of a 13-piece band but being as it’s Kelis one still based largely on a modern R&B aesthetic. The album will be out on April 22nd. In the meantime tuck into a large helping of FOOD today.
I love this album!
