This month’s instalment of Twistedsoul Presents… offers up an immaculate selection from producer Lee “Test Card” Nicholson.
As a British electronic producer and multi-instrumentalist now based in Vancouver, Canada, Nicholson’s musical career stretches back to the late 1990s, when he played in the Preston indie band Formula One and later Brighton’s Domestic4. The Test Card moniker would materialise some ten years ago with a focus on ambient, electro-acoustic and instrumental electronica. His incredible musical offerings – which include the recent release ’73 & Good Luck’ unveiled this summer – established Test Card as a quietly distinctive presence in the independent electronic scene thanks in large part to his imaginative and sublime soundscapes. Tonight’s show features music from Melodien, Jim Noir, Tomorrow Syndicate, Nigh Beats, Causa Sui, The Billow Observatory, Time Is A Mountain, and more.
