Twistedsoul Presents: Blue-In-Green:RADIO Guest Mix ~ Blue Earth Sound

This month’s instalment of Twistedsoul Presents… offers up an inspired selection from multi-instrumentalist and producer James Weir.

Under the guise of Blue Earth Sound and released through DeepMatter, ‘Cicero Nights’ saw Weir declare his bid for centre stage through a brilliantly produced eight-track selection that sits comfortably in a space between 60s soul, 70s jazz fusion and contemporary jazz. Under the guise of Blue Earth Sound, the project proved a phenomenal display of his talents, with Weir credited for piano, Rhodes, organ, Wurlitzer, guitar, bass, slide guitar, synths and production.

‘The St. Louis Sessions EP’ found Weir adopting a new approach for his follow-up EP and once again makes geography a part of the project. While ‘Cicero Nights’ was very much a Chicago-based and Chicago-inspired record, featuring a number of prominent names embedded within the city, ‘The St. Louis Sessions’ relocates the creative framework and structure to St Louis, Missouri, for recording sessions rooted in spontaneity and a first-time union of Chicago and St. Louis-based artists.

With a new album due before the year’s end, please visit Weir’s Bandcamp link below for more info:
