A Sonic Bridge Between Continents: Musica Invisibile by Samuele Strufaldi

Set for release this Friday, Musica Invisibile continues the Davorio Project, which began in 2019 as a musical collaboration between Italian musician Samuele Strufaldi, Boris Pierrou, Tim Garcia, and the villagers of Gohouo-Zagna in Côte d’Ivoire.

Musica Invisibile feels less like a conventional EP and more like a living document of connection, memory, and shared purpose. Built from unreleased village archives and rare nocturnal recordings from Gohouo-Zagna, the project carries a quiet sense of responsibility alongside its musical ambition. This isn’t just about blending genres. It’s about preserving moments and turning them into something lasting.

Strufaldi’s touch is subtle and respectful. Electronic textures drift around acoustic instruments rather than overpowering them, letting Guéré rhythms and voices remain central. The result feels intimate, almost whispered, yet emotionally expansive.

Two released tracks offer a clear glimpse of what’s coming. ‘Gia’ moves with hypnotic patience, its layered percussion and sax lines creating a slow-burning trance.’ Musica Invisibile’ is more atmospheric, built on floating synths and soft vocal fragments that feel suspended between worlds.

What this EP promises is rare: music that sounds beautiful while actively building something beyond itself.

All proceeds support the community space in Gohouo-Zagna. Additional donations can be made through the project’s GoFundMe page.
