We’re thrilled to present another episode in our collaborative project with Twistedsoul, which sees Colin curate an incredible series this month showcasing Amanda Whiting‘s fantastic selections.
And what a thrill today’s episode is as we officially introduce the festive season with a delectable selection of Christmas-themed numbers curated by the revered harpist, composer, author and educator. With releases through Jazzman, Albert’s Favourites and now a part of the First Word Records family, Amanda has enjoyed a wave of well-deserved successes in the past few years. Boasting a selection of warmly-received projects including the sensational full-length ‘The Liminality of Her’ and the sublime Christmas EP ‘A Christmas Cwtch’ released a year ago, Amanda blesses our airwaves with a delightful show for the Christmas season.
Featuring selections from Louis Prima, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson and a few choice Amanda Whiting numbers thrown in for good measure. It’s a perfect soul-affirming selection of songs and we’re incredibly grateful of Amanda’s time.
