The first single to be taken from СОЮЗ (SOYUZ)’s enthralling fourth album KROK sees the release of the emotive and personal title track.Krokmeansstepin Belarusian, and for Alex Chumak and his band, this word carries a great deal of meaning. It’s a theme running throughout the album, reflecting the journeys the band has navigated in recent years.


Consider yourself introduced to Marina Mello and her entrancing debut solo album Deságua, which dropped last Friday. The Brazilian harpist and composer delivers a 13-track collection that expands the expressive possibilities of the harp through a deeply personal and experimental approach. This is a magical album and an absolute must listen to! Experience the brilliance of Mello below!


Los Angeles artist Sam Wilkes, famous for his innovative solo and collaborative work in experimental jazz, debuts in Psychic Hotline’s Singles Series with “I Know I’m Not Wrong” b/w “Learning to Fly.” Trading his bass for a Fender Stratocaster, borrowed from friend Brian Robert Jones, he ventures into new musical territory. These tracks are a burst of sunshine that lifts your spirits the instant you press play.


In 2020, Aloha Got Soul launched a DJ-friendly sublabel on Bandcamp, Disco Island. Now they’ve finally pressed their first record for the imprint: ISLAND-001, featuring dnb and breakbeat-style takes on the classic island song, ‘Windward Skies’. Check it out below!


Valentim Frateschi (Os Fonsecas) just released his debut album, ESTREITO, via Seloki Records. The record features two prominent voices from the contemporary Brazilian music scene: Nina Maia and Sophia Chablau. Blending MPB, jazz, and indie, the album explores the idea of continuity and transition. As the artist himself explains, the title refers to “the strait as a place between two places.” Check out the title track.
