ลatellitesโ Itamar Kluger recently announced his solo return with the delightfully moody atmospherics of โHorrorizonโ. Under the moniker Eje Eje, Itamar combines psychedelic rock and funk with influences such as Levantine dabke, Persian bandari, Khaliji music, Turkish folk, Afrobeat, Saharan blues, indie rock, electronica, and Jamaican roots and dub. The track is a slow burn, blending monotonous drums, harsh bouzouki, a mantric bassline, old-school Greek keys, and vintage ambience and percussion. Enjoy the track!
Last week, International Anthem announced Hyperglyph, the first new album in 11 years from composer, trumpeter, and synthesist Rob Mazurek and composer and percussionist Chad Taylor, under the Chicago Underground Duo moniker. Chicago’s Blue Earth Sound is the project of multi-instrumentalist and composer James Weir; their forthcoming album ‘Cicero Nights‘ is set to add to the already rich tapestry of jazz-leaning experimental music out of Chicago.
