Rob Mazurek and Alberto Novello create a brilliant changing musical universe that unites the concepts of modular synthesis and free jazz improvisation through their work on Sun Eaters. For an album that arrives from instant creativity, it sounds super tight, with Novello producing pulsing electronic patterns while Mazurek integrates trumpet, percussive bells, and sampler sounds into the spontaneous recording at the artist-run Dobialab studio in Northern Italy.

The music delivers a spiritual experience through its blacklight-lit ceremony, which unites universal magnificence with personal intimacy through its rhythmic process. The modular synth lines from Novello generate waves of sound until they change and resemble extraterrestrial radio signals, while Mazurek produces trumpet sounds that manifest as energetic signals which transform between song-like expressions and broken electronic voices.
