Vestbo Trio were nominated for “Blues Album of the Year” at this year’s Danish Music Awards, and the trio’s new single adds an exciting chapter to the journey that started with the “Out of Place” album. Fuelled by a synth-like “slice” effect (hence the name “Crumar”, which is the name of a vintage synthesizer), groovy drums and electric bass drive the track forward to close out with a stinging guitar solo.
Based out of Denmark, Vestbo Trio’s guitar-driven instrumental music has been turning heads for years, and rightly so! The trio’s blend of blues, jazz, and folk is vibey and cool, and their love for solid grooves and dynamic interplay might turn you to instrumental music again (frankly, it’s about time!). The trio slogan sums it up nicely: Cool music, recorded in great sound quality, wrapped in beautiful artwork.
“Crumar” was recorded live in an empty theatre hall; you can sense the big room here. The trio set up on the floor in the middle of the room and created this track together. We love this track, and we hope you will, too!
