The Leftovers

Treat your taste buds to these mouthwatering leftovers!

Music is cranked out so fast these days, it’s nearly impossible to stay in the loop. No matter how hard we try to spotlight every killer track, album, and video we adore, we simply canโ€™t cover it all. So yes, some fantastic releases will inevitably fall through the cracks. That’s why every week we dish out ‘The Leftovers,’ offering up five fresh faves in bite-sized pieces.

Shackleton & Six Organs of Admittance’s trance-inducing psychedelic ritual music whisks us through a darkened abyss and catapults us straight into the light. The worldโ€™s teetering on the edge; cue the soundtrack.

Isaiah Collier & The Chosen Few return with a new musical journey, “The Almighty” is the first quartet offering since 2021’s Cosmic Transition graced our existence. It may only be five tracks, but each one feels like you’ve hitched a ride on a comet blazing through the jazz cosmos.

Marysia Osu, the freshly-inked talent at Brownswood Recordings and a driving force within the ethereal Levitation Orchestra, graces our world with her celestial harp music. Imagine a soundtrack composed by the muses themselves that’s the magic Osu brings to each pluck of her harp strings on her new track, Sea Time. The track is lifted from her debut albumย โ€˜harp, beats & dreamsโ€™, which will drop later this year.

AINON is a new Helsinki-based quartet on We Jazz Records influenced by modern classical, jazz, and experimental music. This is for you if you like moody, cinematic spiritual jazz featuring intense compositions that bridge spiritual jazz, avant-garde, modern classical, and ambient music.

Delighted to catch some fresh music from Bristol’s very own producer-saxophonist, Oli Morris. Swerving away from his typically jazzy escapades, he’s embraced a more relaxed and soulful vibe on “Donโ€™t Like Sugar.”
