The forthcoming album features members of his musical community exchange, including Maria Chiara Argirรฒ, Pouya Ehsaei and Sam Warner. This one’s been on repeat all day for us, and you’ll likely do the same once you press play.
Tel Aviv’s Sababa 5 is a consistently spellbinding band with each release, always bringing something new while maintaining their signature sound. Their debut collaborative album with Japanese singer and belly dancer Yurika Hanashima is a perfect example. Middle Eastern psych, funk, disco, and Japanese folk and pop merge to produce a captivating new sound on โKokoro’. There’s little else to say besides press play and embark on a musical journey.
Basher, the New Orleans free jazz ensemble led by Byron Asher, delivers another thrilling experience with its new album, May Day. Following the 2022 Doubles album, Basher continues to defy genre boundaries, blending elements of jazz, free improvisation, and art rock dance into its unique sound.
