New music from renowned South London producer, drummer, DJ, and graphic artist Hector Plimmer is always welcomed with open arms at Twistedsoul. ‘Playtime’ marks the debut release of his brand-new label, Power in Comfort. This up-tempo piece encapsulates Plimmerโ€™s reflections on the balance between light and dark. Laura Mischโ€™s ethereal, organic voice and saxophone are transformed through chopping and re-sampling into a vibrant, living force.

Nearly thirty years after their last release, Acid Jazz pioneers Galliano are returning with their new album ‘Halfway Somewhere.’ It’s set to drop in August via Gilles Petersonโ€™s Brownswood Recordings. We’ve been missing Galliano’s vibe for too long, and they just dropped an instant classic. Listen to the lead track, Circles Going Round The Sun, below.

RR Gems bless us with “EEG Coherence,” a stunning free-flowing jazz album featuring Devin Brahja Waldman on saxophone and keyboards, Sam Shalabi on guitar, Liam Oโ€™Neill on drums, Morgan Moore on bass, Janice Lowe on flute and voice, and Ala Dehghan on voice. The album also showcases stunning woodblock artwork by Ryock.

Polish musical chameleon Waclaw Zimpel returns with Japanese Journal Volโ€‹.โ€‹1. The ever-adventurous multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer who deeply loves jazz also draws inspiration from electronics, minimalism, and global roots.
