Dulcitone 1804 is the fourth collaborative album by musician-producers Adam Martin and Mark Slater to be released on The Leaf Label, following a trilogy of albums with Matthew Bourne (2018), The Comet Is Coming’s drummer Betamax (2020) and double bassist Tom Herbert (2022). Nightports is reunited with pianist and composer Matthew Bourne, exploring a rare 19th-century keyboard instrument called a dulcitone.
Last week, International Anthem announced the release of Small Medium Large, the debut album from SML, a new quintet composed of luminaries from Los Angeles’s thriving jazz, improvised, and indie music scenes: bassist Anna Butterss, synthesist Jeremiah Chiu, saxophonist Josh Johnson, percussionist Booker Stardrum and guitarist Gregory Uhlmann. Exciting news from Apifera! Their latest album, ‘Keep the Outside Open’, is set to land on 21st June via LA label Stones Throw. To build anticipation for this upcoming release, Apifera has released their newest single, ‘The Curious Wild.’ This mellow track blends soothing synth sounds with a rhythmic guitar ballad.
