Jake Long, the London drummer, composer and producer, makes an impactful solo debut with his album City Swamp. He recently unveiled the lead single ‘Silhouette’. With a grooving melody that fits in well with the album’s unorthodox themes, Silhouette is an 11-minute wonder that captures the vibe that Jake intends to deliver with ease.

Filled with an unsettling and mystical vibe from the get-go, Silhouette is a song that is filled to the brim with personality. Mashing together different instruments to create a unified musical piece that keeps listeners hooked all throughout, Silhouette is definitely a one-of-a-kind song that only adds more hype to the rest of the songs to be featured on City Swamp once it’s released.

The highlight of the song is around the 7-minute mark, as it ups the ante with funky rhythms and tasty solos that are nothing short of ecstatic and delicious.

Simply put, Silhouette is undoubtedly not only an excellent introduction to Jake Long’s new work but also a trailblazing work of art in itself.
