After the stunning ‘synth waltzes and accordion laments’ by Yara Asmar. Brighton-based label Hive Mind Records proudly presents their next masterpiece – not one, but two EPs from the incredibly gifted Nino Gvilia.
Her songs have this cool mix of folk and minimalism vibes. She gets creative with magnetic tapes, field recordings, and even uses vocal samples of contemporary thinkers and philosophers. She also throws in all sorts of weird instruments and vintage textures. Gvilia music has this captivating dreamlike vibe that really grabs your attention and pulls you into its world.
Gvila’s EPs, titled “Nicole” / “Overwhelmed by the Unexplained” are truly something to behold. They demonstrate her exceptional talent, unique creativity, and technical prowess. These records are filled with originality, mastery, and sheer beauty.

Joining Gvilia on the two EP’s are Zevi Bordovach (synth / keyboards) and Pietro Caramelli (electric guitar / vocals), with Giulia Pecora and Clarissa Marino adding violin and cello.
Mark your calendars for March when you can finally hold this treasure in your hands. But fear not, if you can’t wait that long, get a head start with the digital download of Nicole available from 12th January. But before all that you can start enjoying the magic today by listening to the entrancing title track above!
Check out the short video interview where Gvilia discusses her forthcoming EP’s.
