You are missing out if Better Corners are not on your radar. The outfit of Valentina Magaletti, Sarah Register, and Matthew Simms is set to release their second album, Continuous Miracles: Vol. 2, for state51 Conspiracy, 0n 3rd November.
Returning with their inimitable collage of experimental rock, wonky dream pop, analog ambient, tape experimentation, avant percussion, modular electronics and noise music. It’s a sound that is both chaotic and soothing. There is no easy way to categorise or label their sound other than to say it’s brilliantly inventive.

Take the tremendous lead single ‘Cremated Pets’ with its bowed treated guitars, hypnotic hand drums, water bowl and bells. It’s a dark and unusual sound that defies traditional genre boundaries. It also has a suitably macabre genesis, as Register reveals: “I was visiting my aunt’s house and slept in her bedroom. In the headboard of her bed are places for curiosities and heirlooms. In these spaces, she had box after box of the ashes of pets of hers that I had known over the years…”
‘Cremated Pets’ will definitely catch the attention of adventurous listeners.
Continuous Miracles Vol. 2 will be available as both a limited LP and a very limited special 51 edition LP in a run of just 51 copies.
