There’s so much good stuff going on in the Los Angeles, underground electronic music scene. One of its key players is the fiercely. experimental Jeremiah Chiu. The Los Angeles-via-Chicago artist and musician delivered a cult classic last year with the release of Recordings from the Åland Islands, his duo album with Marta Sofia Honer. The album is a mix of ambient, electronic and field recordings, all recorded in various locations on the Åland Islands. He’s now ready to release a new genre-bending body of work.
The 29th of September will mark the release of his latest solo full-length, In Electric Time, via International Anthem.
Recorded at the Vintage Synthesizer Museum in Los Angeles over two days classic, rare and staple synthesisers can be heard all over In Electric Time, an album that was created with the help of VSM founder/curator Lance Hill.
Head over to International Anthem’s Bandcamp page, where you can pre-order the limited edition cassette or digital download.
Chiu recently shared a visual for the title track. The video was directed and edited by Burkie and you can watch it below.
