Backtracked – Reflective Song (TS Premiere)

Electronic jazz outfit Backtracked is ready to drop a six-track EP titled ‘Alphabets’ tomorrow via Ele Records.

Drawing inspiration from their surroundings, osmosis helped the trio create this original work. It allowed them to observe and understand the world around them in a different way. It also allowed them to take elements from the natural and man-made environment to create something unique, providing a platform for creative expression and exploration.

With breezy melodies, laid-back beats meeting mind-elevating progressions and ethereal atmospheres, ‘Alphabets’ is both nostalgic and forward-thinking at the same time.

Our pick of the bunch is the closing track, ‘Reflective Song’. Over five minutes, you’re taken on a tranquil and calming journey that allows you to drift away and relax. It is a fitting ending to the EP, a moment of escape and reflection, allowing the listener to feel relaxed and recharged. I’m not sure how many times I’ve listened to this track in the past few days, but I’m sure it’s over fifty and will remain on loop for a long time.

You’ve come to the right place if you’re looking for an audio head massage.
