Rewire Festival 2023

Rewire Festival returns to the Hague with another excellent selection of some of the most exciting acts from electronic dance music as well as contemporary composition and jazz at the moment.

We are particularly excited to see Hiro Kone’s duo Enxim/Onyx, hear some of Lucy Liyou’s highly anticipated new album live, Aleksandra Słyż or Osheyack, both artists whose albums we had on repeat last year, and dance to selections from Aquarian, Manuka Honey and Authentically Plastic. Rewire is notorious for its beautiful yet unexpected venues that make for very memorable concert experiences, As well as presenting their own productions or artist collaborations people would not get to see anywhere else. This year they’re bringing legendary composer Ellen Fullman with her impressive Long String Instrument alongside experimental chamber music ensemble The Living Earth Show in a site-specific installation at Nieuwe Kerk.

Other notable performances not to be missed are the world premiere of Eliane Radigue’s ‘Occam Delta XX’ performed by Aura Satz, Rhodri Davies & Julia Eckhardt and turntablism star trio Maria Chavez + Mariam Rezaei + Victoria Shen doing another premiere.

In the underground superstar category we are definitely looking forward to seeing Kelela, Fever Ray and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Australian duo CS+Kreme, whose 2022 album we absolutely loved, will also be performing.

The festival’s accompanying programme includes a series of free access talks, film screenings, listening sessions and other related events. Find more about ithere.
