Twistedsoul Presents: Blue-In-Green:RADIO Guest Mix: Jembaa Groove

We’re thrilled to unveil another episode of our collaborative project with Twistedsoul which sees C F Smith curate a set of monthly guest shows and mixes with new episodes unveiled on the first Monday of every month.

Our fourth instalment introduces some incredible selections from the Berlin-based West African meets US soul & jazz collective, Jembaa Groove.

Fronted by Yannick Nolting and Eric Owusu, the afro soul septet released their debut album ‘Susuma’ earlier this year via the fantastic Agogo Records. The incredible ‘Susuma’ introduced listeners to the multitude of musical influences encapsulated throughout the album from Highlife, West African rhythms and 70s soul. A remarkable piece of work and we couldn’t be more excited to showcase a small snippet of their revered inspirations and music via the Blue-in-Green:RADIO airwaves.

I love discovering something I've never heard before and sharing that feeling with like-minded people who embrace the music in the same way. You're welcome to join me on more of my musical misadventures on Blue-in-Green:RADIO. www.blueingreenradio.com
