On Tuesday, April 5th, UPEND will present Kali Malone‘s U.S. pipe organ debut at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. The show will feature songs from her critically acclaimed album The Sacrificial Code, a significant work including canonic pipe organ pieces. Stephen O’Malley will provide additional accompaniment on several compositions featuring the 4-handed organ. One of the world’s largest church pipe organs, The Great Organs, comprises several organs joined together to create a single instrument with 18,094 speaking pipes, 328 ranks, 15 divisions, and a total of 278 speaking stops.
