Having recently teased their addictively soulful double A-side single ‘Party For One’/’Looking for Moses’, London-based outfit Mamas Gun fifth album Cure The Jones will finally come to life on April 1st.
Mamas Gun frontman Andy Platts wrote and produced the album during the pandemic, with additional soundscaping provided by drummer Chris Boot. The band are completed by Terry Lewis (guitar), Dave Oliver (keys), and Cameron Dawson (bass).

A joyful and sophisticated exhibition of song-craft that examines themes of love, loss, life through today’s most pressing social and political issues, the 11-track album represents the bands most complete and powerful work to date.
The band recorded Cure The Jones directly to tape in Platts’ home studio in just three days. The album carries the band’s soulful energy into a coherent gospel-tinged whole.
We shared the double A-sided single in our playlist here, and now you can enjoy the equally lovely and slightly eccentric visual accompaniment for ‘Party For One’ up top.
