Six stretched out slices of cosmic American music from Wet Tuna

Ready to dive deep into WET TUNA? Over the past year, the duo of Matt Valentine (MV) and Pat Gubler (PG Six) have dropped four volumes of Eau’d To A Fake Bookie.

Later this month Marc Teare’s Hive Mind Records are releasing Eau’d To A Fake Bookie Volumes 1 & 2 on vinyl.

The releases feature guitars and synths by MV and PG Six, who recorded these during the first months of COVID’s lockdowns in the Vermont wilderness. S. Freyer Esq, Jim Bliss, Coot Moon and Carson ‘Smokehound’ Arnold join them on bass and drums.

The duo serves a blissful gumbo of cosmic psychedelia, primitive drum-machine grooves, and woozy country-funk for the listener over six tracks. Over four sides of wax, you’ll hear cover versions by artists as diverse as The Blackbyrds, Michael Hurley and Jimmy Cliff.

Get to know the duo and their mystifying, stretched out pieces of cosmic American music if you haven’t already.
