Wildflower are releasing a new EP, Better Times.
Out in June, each of the project’s four songs has a colour reference suggestive of mood tone and internal balance. The trio of Idris Rahman, Leon Brichard, and Tom Skinner continue their journey with Better Times, setting ahead with a deep, relentless, unique sound, constantly evolving and growing, as a flower does effortlessly hitting the aim.
As the press release explains: “the real beauty of Blue, Yellow, Green and Red lies in the openness to form and structure to these tunes, whilst a sense of groove and melodic development is maintained throughout.”
As well as announcing the EP the trio has shared the opening cut titled ‘Blue’. Driven by Skinner’s powerful drums, the track is raw and rugged, with Brichard providing the booming bass while Rahman’s sax chords swirl and spark throughout.
