You ever just think “I wish someone would make a proper fresh, deeper than deep spiritual jazz track (i do)”? Well so did Rebecca Vasmant, and it’s heavenly.
Having spent years djing, promoting parties, remixing tracks, as well as starting the jazz record label Shiehallion, Vasmant steps up to the production desk for her first single.
Titled ‘Freefall’, the song blossoms with its serene production and subtle instrumentation, provided by Cameron Thompson-Duncan (trumpet), Harry Weir (saxophone), and Tom Stephenson (guitar). The real the magic and beauty comes however from Nadya Albertsson’s soft-toned vocals which steal the show.
The near six-minute track is an absolute gem so it’s needless to say that we can’t wait to hear what else she has in store.
This is something special but then seeing as it’s released via the ever-excellent On The Corners Records, we’d expect nothing less. Get it here.
