‘Listening Glasses’ is the bouncy, Afro infused new track from London-based quintet Waaju.
The hard to categorise band is made up of Ben Brown (drums, percussion), Sam Rapley (saxophone), Tal Janes (guitar), Ernesto Marichales (congas, percussion) and Joe Downard (bass)
Waaju have developed a unique and divergent sound that connects the dots between the likes of Beth Carvalho, Oscar D’Leon, Alain Peters and Los Muñequitos de Matanzas.
The new song is taken from their second album titled ‘Grown’ which will be released on 12th June via Olindo Records.
We can’t wait to hear more from the record, but for now, tuck into ‘Listening Glasses’ above.
