East London pianist and producer Alfa Mist resurfaced recently with ‘Withered’, a deeply medative return from the talented artist.
The new cut is lifted from his upcoming 10″ EP On My Ones which sees Alfa Mist exploring solo piano improvisations. “Although it’s largely improvised, I wouldn’t call it a solely a jazz project”, says Mist.
Accompanied by an equally soothing live visual, the lead track is a very emotional number about loss that encompasses a restrained and gentle mood comprising of nothing more than sombre piano chords. It’s a wonderful composition that sets up the forthcoming EP perfectly.
