Traversing all sorts of jazz, broken beat and electronic expanse this new two-tracker from Sydney is your Friday night soundtrack.
We featured Sydney back in May when he debuted on Black Acre with his Swaziland inspired debut mini-album entitled ‘Ode to eSwatini’.
The project was a brilliant showcase of his eclectic sound, and this new one titled Paraíso / Dahlia once again finds the young Bristolian sweeping through the styles but this time with a South American slant. It features collaborations with Guy Hobley who appeared on his mini project on the saxophone and guitarist Charlie J-W.
“With the record being South American influenced the titles and artwork are based on a garden in Mexico named Las Pozas. Paraíso meaning paradise and Dahlia being the native flower to Mexico found in the Las Pozas garden” – Sydney
This is an exceptional return from an artist who should be on your radar – an absolute must listen!
