Alogte Oho is gearing up to for his first internationally released album, Mam Yinne Wa via Philophon this November.

Backed by the awe-inspiring female choir, Sounds of Joy, the king of gospel music among the Frafra people of northern Ghana is spreading his infectious afro roots, and Frafra gospel sounds to the whole world.

We shared the title track a few years ago, and that cut has been given a shot in the arm with a new jazz-tinged version which will appear on the upcoming album.

Below we’re streaming ‘Zota Yinne’, which was Oho’s first single released on Philophon back in 2014. The song became a hit in Reggae sound system circles and has become a very sought after collector’s item.
