Masok are a new band from Tel Aviv and the latest to join the city’s ever excellent Raw Tapes label.

The four-piece future soul band consists of Jenny Penkin, Nomok, Tal Kohavi and Omri Shani.

If you loved Penkins recent EP, you’re going to devour the quintets first single ‘Right Up Your Alley’ which is lifted from their upcoming ten-track LP ‘The Bigger The Risk’, to be released in November.

Produced by Nomok, the track is a soulful explosion of sizzling synths, crispy percussion, and laid-back bass topped off by Penkins soft yet determined voice and thoughtful lyrics.

‘The Bigger The Risk’ drops on 29th November, and across the album you can expect to hear the finest contemporary soul, graceful and catchy melodies on the smoothest groove.
