Here’s something fabulous start your day. Brittney Parks, aka Sudan Archives, has released a new song called ‘Confessions’, and it’s a gem. The Los Angeles artist shared the track while confirming her debut album Athena is coming later this year via Stones Throw Records.

Last year she dropped her second EP Sink, a five-song set that drifts between classical, R&B and folk, and electronic, with influences from Sudanese fiddlers and West African musicians.

Lyrically the new song details a crisis of conscience while musically the blend of enchanting violin lines and the softly plucked strings of cellist Clíona Ní Choileáin are just perfect. It also features her catchiest chorus to date.

Stream the new single co-produced by Will Archer below.

This song is seriously good stuff, press play and look out for Archives forthcoming LP out 1st November.

Confessions is out now via Stones Throw. Buy from Bandcamp.
