Late last year, we introduced you to the immersive and hypnotic sounds of Kayla Painter the Bristol based artist who caught our attention with her ‘Cannibals at Sea’ EP.

Eariler this month Kayla Painter returned with a new two-track release titled ‘Pack Your Bivouac’.

The record finds Painter exploring new ways to stretch the limits of her diverse production styles. From the bouncy, blissed out synths and organic textures of the title track to the unhurried ambient drone and thick atmospherics of ‘Through the Forest’ this new project is a mesmerising listening experience.

The boundary-pushing artist will bring her stunning AV show to Five Miles in Seven Sisters on May 29th as part of Supreme Standards next live event. The night will also include a performence from experimental electronic trio Szun Waves. Head here for tickets and more info.
