Hiroshima-based artist Meitei announces debut album, Komachi.

Take a listen to Kawanabe Kyosai [Pt.II] the first track from Komachi, the first full-length vinyl release from Hiroshima based artist Meitei.

As with his previous work, Meitei once again explores what he calls “the lost Japanese mood”, an era and culture that he hopes to keep in our collective consciousness as society moves away from some of Japans more traditional aesthetics.

The album is dedicated to his grandmother who recently passed away and pulls inspiration from J Dilla, Hayao Miyazaki and Susumu Yokota to name a few.

Dive into the ethereal, warming tones of Kawanabe Kyosai [Pt. II] below and look out for more enchanting sounds from Meitei in the run-up to the LP’s release.

The album arrives on March 15th but you can pre-order the limited edition 12’’ from Métron Records Bandcamp page or via label and distributor Séance Centre.
