Early this week, Domino announced they had  signed Nérija; the London-based jazz septet composed of Nubya Garcia (tenor saxophone), Sheila Maurice-Grey (trumpet), Cassie Kinoshi (alto saxophone), Rosie Turton (trombone), Shirley Tetteh (guitar), Lizy Exell (drums) and Rio Kai (bass).

We’ve been big fans of the band since hearing their debut NÉRIJA EP back in 2016, and we’re thrilled that the label is revitalising the release.

Combining jazz with hip-hop grooves, Afrobeat rhythms and incredible energy this is a must listen.

The 5-track EP was initially composed, recorded and self-released after the groups’ meetings and collaborations via London’s Tomorrow’s Warriors. The re-release is re-mixed by Kwes and remastered by Chris Potter at Electric.
