Get to know EA Wave (East African Wave) a five-piece art collective based in Nairobi who pushes new sounds and visuals emanating from the region.

The collective is made up of young musical and illustrative artists that include Nu Fvnk, Jinku, Ukweli, Hiribae and Sichangi.

Here’s their new single ‘Alango’, a bright and breezy Afro-house tune featuring folk singer Makadem orating the story of a girl who has become too modern for village life.

We’re told that an album is on the way featuring artists from Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania and Somalia all told through their lens.
