Over the past few years, Yusufla has been hard at work slowly building their reputation with a vast array of live shows and a couple of dazzling singles. The band are finally on the verge of releasing their highly anticipated debut EP, which will arrive on February 11th.
Their forthcoming self-titled EP was recorded and mixed at Soup Studios with Giles Barrett and pushes their unique, cinematic sound forward.
We’ve had our eyes on Yusufla for a while now and by the sounds of the first taste ‘Knotweed’, the wait for this EP has been well worth it.
Packed with an addictive funky bass groove, swinging drums and playful sax melodies that leap and spark across the track in perfect sync from start to finish.
The band will launch their debut EP at the Pizza Express Jazz Club on February 11th where they will perform their EP along with an original commission written for them by British-Malaysian Composer Jasmin Kent Rodgman. Head here for more info.
