Acquaint yourself Lunch Money and their new EP, ‘Living 3000’ a head-busting exploration into jazz which hits the sweet spot from start to finish.
Serving as follow up to previously released ‘Flashing Neon Signs/ Yam Taeng’ 7” in 2016, the three-track consist of two new jams and a remix of the title track by Time Cow and Bobby Blackbird of Equiknoxx Music.
Living 3000 marks the first release from a series of recordings created at Total Refreshment Centre, mixed and co-produced by Danalogue of The Comet is Coming.
Opening with ‘Living3000’ a song written entirely on Garageband by trombonist/synth player Jack during a year hiatus from the band in Paris, the track is an answer to the question: can we take robot music, and play it live?
The second cut ‘Informant’ is a collage, made up of highly compressed atmospheres including multiple Church spaces, a local car wash and tape manipulated synthesis.
On the final track Time Cow and Bobby Blackbird strip ‘Living3000’ right back to its bare bones before applying their trademark bottom heavy remix treatment, resulting in an avalanche of tight drum hits, cavernous cymbals and the manic whirl of a reversed synthesiser.
Three heavy hitting tracks you should definitly check out!
