Big news folks! South London DJ and producer Al Dobson Jr. will release his second ‘Sounds From The Village’ album next month. As with the first instalment, It finds Dobson Jr returning to Kutmah’s experimental Izwid imprint.

The record’s twenty-three tracks range from percussive jams to abstract beats via meditative dub and hypnotic, soulful grooves excavated from the Dobson Jr. archives. It’s a deep dive into the producers’ colourful sketches that span from 2006-2016.

Our first taste of the forthcoming album comes in the form of ‘Shikimi Greetings’, a Japanese inspired low slung jam, laced with a booming bassline and funky percussive rhythm that’s sure to get your head bobbing.
