Enter into the world of Champagne Dub. The project conceived by drummer and producer Betamax (The Comet Is Coming, Soccer96) pull from a range of influences through free improv, psychedelic post-punk, English folk, performance art and 70s dub.
The collective are set to release their debut album Drops this November via Faith and Industry Records.
Stream the opening track Schmooze Fest part 1 which was produced by Beatamax and Faith and Industry Records founder Capitol K.
Champagne Dub’s 5-member band includes Betamax on drums/percussion, Ruth Goller on bass, Mr Noodles on vocals, Ed Briggs on analogue synths/electronics/MaxMSP and Nahum Mantra on Theremin.
The band also draws on the teachings of Zen Buddhist philosophy, to create sound without intention, to capture and dub the natural shape of subconscious intuitions.
Drops is available on limited 200 press, lacquer cut vinyl. 1st press, hand stencil sleeve, artwork by Phil Hale.
