NY-based audio and visual production duo Georgia has been building a stellar reputation for themselves since 2012, releasing quality records previously on labels such as Palto Flats, Meakusma, and Emotional Response.
The duo now lands on Italian label OOH-sounds alongside Bellows for the first in a series of split vinyl concerning “dependencies, miscommunication and increasing complexity in our media-saturated digital era.”
Formed by Brian Close and Justin Tripp their sound is a hybrid of abstract electronics, ambient, dub, house, avant-garde jazz and more besides.
The new release titled ‘Decouple ][ Series‘, features two cuts from Georgia, and another one from Bellows aka Giuseppe Ielasi and Nicola Ratti, who return after excursions on Latency and Shelter Press.
Take a trip with the record’s opening track ‘Tiwala Sa Buhay’. A metaphor for a world of surfaces the track is a frantic mix of freaky percussion, funky polyrhythms, and modified speech courtesy of artist Gabi Asfour.
