Cotonete preps debut album with two-track EP

Twistedsoul ~ CotoneteThis one is just, vibes. Parisian jazz-funk outfit Cotonete gives us a little sample of their upcoming album with a two track EP.

At nearly nine minutes long, the opening track ‘Layla’ is a blissfully transcendent composition which tips its hat to Brazil and finds the band expressing their softer side.

Soundtracked by warming guitar lines, waves of brass and subtle Rhodes that is topped off by lush vocal intonations, this track is pure bliss.

On the flip side, you’ll find the drum-led funk workout of ‘Fried Grease’.

Listen to ‘Layla’ below and look out for their debut album which is due out next year.

This one’s going to get a lot of plays at Twistedsoul HQ.

Layla/Fried Grease is out now – buy here.
