Melbourne producer and funk synthesist Harvey Sutherland has been releasing incredible music for some time and today is no exception.
While his previous output has leaned towards various shades of electronic music this new track is rooted in jazz and broken beat.
The new track called ‘Amethyst‘ features London-based saxophonist Nubya Garcia, Michael Shrimpling on double bass and the divine rhythms of Kahlil Memphis. A snapshot of chaotic times, channelling some new feelings and broken circadian rhythms.
In Sutherland’s words: “I wanted something that had a jazz feel and lightness that was still really informed by the London broken beat scene.”
The new cut is lifted from his upcoming ‘Amethyst’ EP which arrives on November 9th.

Amethyst EP is out 09/11 – pre-order from Bandcamp.
