Between The Cracks: 5 New Releases You Need To Hear.

With so much good music coming through thick and fast, it’s easy for brand-new music to drop online and go overlooked. To help prevent this, we’ve picked five albums you need to hear. Stream music from Allysha Joy, Phil France, Stuff., The Gondwana Orchestra and Pejzaż. If you like what you hear, support the artists.

Allysha Joy – Acadie : Raw

Allysha Joy is best known for performing in Melbourne Hip Hop collective 30/70, and their success over the past two years has led her to further challenge her expression in a project of her own. Joy is pushing boundaries as a keys player, poet, singer and producer, releasing her first solo record on Gondwana Records. This wonderful album is destined to become a classic.

Phil France – Circle

What a sublime talent Phil France is. Chilled out electronica that instantly takes you on a dreamy sound journey with songs that channel deep ambient textures, nestled snugly against soft classical melodies.

STUFF. – Old Dreams, New Planets

STUFF. is a 5-headed instrumental cyclops that takes you through a journey of mashed up grooves and eclectic sounds. Originally released last year the always on point Gondwana Records have recently re-released the album. Love the way they move through styles and moods with such clarity and ease. Refreshingly different and a lot of fun!

The Gondwana Orchestra ft. Dwight Trible – Colors

The Gondwana Orchestra, and Dwight Trible team up for a tribute to legendary saxophonist Pharoah Sanders. Beautiful, spellbinding, and spiritual this album is essential for jazz fans. Packed in a distinctive bright orange Gondwana Records sleeve this is the second in a collectors series of spiritual jazz limited-edition EPs set for release in 2018 as part of Gondwana Records’ 10th anniversary. Another excellent release from Matthew Halsell’s label.

Pejzaż – Ostatni Dzień Lata

The Very Polish Cut Outs return after a two-year hiatus with a new album from Bartosz Kruszynski aka Pejzaż. On Ostatni Dzień Lata he conjures up wonderful rare Polish samples mixed with Balearic vibes. This beauty is out of this world!
