Listen to a trippy percussive workout track from Tel Aviv’s Shimshon Miel

Shimshon Miel re-issued for the first time on Fortuna Records.

Tel Avi artist Shimshon Miel is the subject of Fortuna Records latest dive into the obscure, forgotten psychedelic sounds of Israeli.

Composed of two tracks from ‘Orchard Of The Whispering Embers’ his 1977 self-released album alongside a late-night club edit by Kalbata the record shines a light on the lone-wolf hippie who experimented with hallucinogenic psych-folk on his only album.

Over the course of the record, Meil conjures up trippy percussion soundscapes layered on top of a thumping bass guitar in wild 70’s style stereo action. On the remix tip, Kalbata’s delivers a straight up voodoo ritual, adding much needed 808 subs to the jacked-up original.
