Yudko – Abstractions

Yudko’s debut solo album on Raw Tapes is a unique release. His distinct style makes him stand out in the family, bringing a fresh breeze of experimental sound. His approach to electronic music is influenced greatly by his early jazz studies. An amazing debut record and here’s hoping that Yudko returns quickly to give us more as soon as possible!

The Cactus Channel – Stay A While

The Cactus Channel’s third album Stay A While takes the orchestrated soul futurism that has become their signature sound and adds silvery vocal dimensions, as the band’s own Lewis Coleman steps up to the mic. Superb stuff.

30/70 – Elevate

The sound of 30/70 is a cosmic mélange of boom-bap dynamics, neo-soul harmonies and jazz-funk licks, all steeped in a deep spiritual tradition reaching from Alice Coltrane to Kamasi Washington. A very strong second album that will likely be amongst the albums of the year.  We couldn’t click replay fast enough!
