Introducing South London multi-instrumentalist and composer Nathan Jamal aka Roseland En Why Cee.
I came across his work while scouring SoundCloud and got instantly drawn in by his unique and warm aesthetic. His sound combines the soul, reggae and hip-hop he grew up listening to with a weirder side of music and filtering it all through his lens. The result is soulful, strange, evocative and often dark, but always with an undeniable groove.
Speaking about the track Jamal had this to say: “The Fall is my interpretation of a summer spent fluctuating between extreme highs and lows in mood. All parts are played by myself, all on physical instruments. I wanted it to be as accurate a depiction of my experience as possible, so I only worked on the joyful parts when I was on a high and the darker parts when I was low.”
